Symptoms of black fungus or mucormycosis depend on where the fungus is growing in your body. They may include symptoms such as fever, cough, chest pain, difficulty in breathing, swelling on one side of the face, headache, sinus congestion, dark sores on the bridge of the nose or inside your mouth, abdominal pain, sea sickness and Vomiting, gastrointestinal bleeding, blood in stools and diarrhea are included.

If your skin is infected, the area may look blistering, red or swollen. It may turn black or feel hot or painful.

The infection can also spread to other parts of your body through your blood. This is called disseminated mucormycosis.
