Lucknow.Due to the activation of the Cyclone Tauktae and Western Disturbance, weather patterns will remain in Uttar Pradesh for the next 24 hours. In most areas of the state, the process of rain continued intermittently throughout the day on Wednesday. The rains are likely to continue for the next 24 hours. Meteorological Department (Met Department) has issued an orange alert for heavy rains in many districts of western UP and Braj region in the next 24 hours. During the rains, a thunderstorm is also expected to run at a speed of 30 to 50 km per hour. Also, people have been warned against the danger of lightning.
According to the meteorological forecast, the districts that are likely to receive heavy rains till noon on Thursday 20 May are - Agra, Mathura, Hathras, Noida, Aligarh, Ghaziabad, Bulandshahar, Hapur, Muzaffarnagar, Meerut, Bijnor, Amroha, Moradabad. Sambhal, Sitapur and Hardoi. One can see the effect of the bad weather in the surrounding districts of these districts as well. The Meteorological Department has expressed the possibility of heavy rains in many districts of the state from the afternoon of Thursday 20 May to Friday 21 May. The districts which are prone to heavy rains with strong thunderstorms are Pilibhit, Bareilly, Rampur, Moradabad, Amroha, Bijnor and Saharanpur. Along with the rain in these districts, thunderstorm can also move at a speed of 30 to 40 km per hour.
As of now, the weather is expected to open from May 22. According to the estimates, even though the weather patterns will be disturbed for the next 24 hours, the weather is likely to open in the entire state from May 22. Light changes may occur in some districts, but the weather will be clear in other districts. Due to incessant rains, day temperatures have been reduced by up to 10 degree Celsius in almost all the districts of the state. There has also been a significant drop in night temperature.
