Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh Police has ordered to take action against people spreading 'rumor' by linking the trial of mobile 5G service with the current spread of Kovid-19.
Additional Director General of Police (Law and Order) Prashant Kumar said in a letter written to all the Police Commissioners, Deputy Inspectors of Police and District Police Chiefs on Saturday that this rumor has been spread through social media for the last few days. Radiation is taking place in some parts due to testing of 5G service, due to which cases of corona infection are increasing rapidly and people are dying.
He said in the letter that in a post circulated on social media, in the postmortem report of persons killed by Kovid-19 in Italy, the death of radiation is also being spread.
Apart from this, audio of a conversation of a young man from Varanasi with someone from Bihar is also going viral, in which people are said to have died due to increase of Corona virus infection due to testing of 5G tower.
While giving instructions to rein in these rumors, the Additional Director General of Police said that the intelligence system should be kept active and effective action should be taken immediately on the shortest notice. Also said that the 'rumors' should be immediately denied at all levels and necessary legal action should be taken by making all the concerned people aware of the important information immediately.
