1 Hanuman Temple, Allahabad (Uttar Pradesh)

This temple adjacent to the Allahabad Fort is a small but ancient temple with a statue of Lord Hanuman lying. It is the only temple in the whole of India in which Hanuman ji is lying in a lying posture. The idol of Hanuman Ji installed here is 20 feet long. When there is a flood during the rainy days and this entire place is submerged, then this idol of Hanumanji is taken somewhere else and kept safe. This idol is brought back here when the appropriate time comes.

According to religious texts, Ayodhya is the birthplace of Lord Shri Ram. The most prominent Shree Hanuman temple here is famous as Hanumangarhi. This temple is situated on a high mound in front of the Rajdwara. After climbing 60 steps in it, comes the temple of Lord Hanuman.
This temple is quite big. There are habitable places around the temple in which the saints and saints reside. To the south of Hanumangarhi are places called Sugriva Tila and Angad Tila. This temple was founded about 300 years ago by Swami Abhaya Ramdas Ji.

This temple of Hanumanji is in Churu district of Rajasthan. The name of the village is Salasar, hence this temple is famous in the name of Salasar Balaji. This idol of Hanumanji is adorned with beard and mustache. This temple is big enough. Dharamshalas are built around the place for travelers to stay. Devotees from far and wide bring their wishes here and get the desired blessing.
The founder of this temple, Shri Mohandasji had great reverence for Shri Hanuman ji since childhood. This statue of Hanuman ji is believed to have been found while plowing land to a farmer, which is installed on the gold throne at Salasar. A huge fair is held here every year on the full moon day of Bhadrapada, Ashwin, Chaitra and Vaishakh.

This Hanuman temple is established near a place called Sitapur in Uttar Pradesh. The distance of Hanuman stream from Sitapur is three miles. This place is situated in the middle of the ranges. On the right head of a huge idol of Hanumanji on the side of the mountain are two water tanks, which are always filled with water and water flows continuously from them. The water of this stream flows touching Hanuman ji. That is why it is called Hanuman Dhara. The water of the stream merges in the mountain itself. People call it Prabhati River or Patalganga. A legend about this place is famous as follows -

This temple is located in Varanasi city of Uttar Pradesh. There is a small forest around this temple. The atmosphere here is secluded, calm and worthy of divine spiritual practice for worshipers. A divine statue of Shree Hanumanji is installed in the courtyard of the temple. The temple of Lord Sri Nrisingh is also established near Sri Sankatmochan Hanuman temple. It is believed that this idol of Hanumanji is the self-proclaimed idol of Goswami Tulsidasji with the tenacity and virtue. In this idol, Hanumanji is worshiping the devotees in the right hand and the left hand is situated on his heart. On every Kartik Krishna Chaturdashi, there is a special aarti and worship ceremony of Hanumanji at the time of sunrise. Similarly, on the day of Chaitra Purnima, Sri Hanuman Jayanti Festival is held here. On this occasion, a tableau of Shri Hanumanji is held and for four days Ramayana Sammelan Festival and Sangeet Sammelan is held.

Four miles from Bet Dwarka, an idol of Hanuman is installed along with the Makara flag. It is said that earlier the idol of Makardhwaj was small but now both the statues have become the same height. Ahiravan hid Lord Shri Ram Laxman at this place.
When Hanumanji came to take Shriram-Lakshmana, he had a fierce battle with Makardhwaja. Finally Hanumanji defeated him and tied him with his tail. This statue is installed in his memory. In some religious texts, Makardhwaja is said to be the son of Hanumanji, who was born from a fish by Hanumanji's sweat.
